Directions

By car:
Highway A6 (Bilbao-Santander): best access from the East or Southeast.
Highway S-20 (Bezana-Santander): to enter the city through the North up to El Sardinero.
Road N-611 (Palencia-Santander): best access from the center and the safest in case of bad weather conditions.
Road N-623 (Burgos-Santander): Through the mountain pass El Escudo (between Burgos and Cantabria) Not recommended with ice or fog conditions.
Road N-634 (Irún -La Coruña): main access from the West.
